Julien
acquires his first piano at the age of ten since his taste for music is already
obvious. Over time, this native of Montreal falls head over heels in love with
this musical instrument.

In the early nineties, he embraces classical training at Vincent d’Indy. His passion for music leads him to participate in many Jam sessions in Montreal and elsewhere.

Around 1994, he joins a House Band performing at the Grand Café in Montreal. This band plays jazz, house as well as electro, dance music and soul. Towards the end of the 90s, the said band part of the Rock Aquarius opera presented at the Gésu Theatre in Montreal.

From approximately 2002 to 2006, he and six other musicians form a band called Soul2Love, excelling in House-Groove-Soul.

In 2007, life leads Julien to the Laurentians, at Lac Masson. He continues his musical career by organizing jam sessions with other talented musicians. The latter regularly produce live and direct compositions until Julien buys a house that he then partly transforms into a music studio where he regularly receives other musicians.

He performs in surrounding cafes, bars and at private events. His main influences are Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Oscar Peterson, Chick Corea, James Brown.

More recently, he is invited to join a new music formation called Moving Clouds Project. In addition to Julien, this band is composed of two other musicians including a drummer percussionist and a flutist. This trio plays in the Laurentians and in Montreal. A first CD is scheduled to come out very soon.
